Tracking for MNTN

This guide will show you how to connect your MNTN account and pull the following metrics:

  • Spend and Impressions, which enables our view-through modeling data

Setting up MNTN within Northbeam involves four steps:

Step 1: Getting Ready

Step 2: Insert Impression Tracking URL

Step 3: Generating a MNTN API Key

Step 4: Notify our Support Team

Step 1: Getting Ready

Before starting, it's important to have the following information ready for fastest and easiest integration setup.

  • Your Northbeam Client ID
  • Your Website
  • Your Collector Subdomain

Northbeam Client ID

Your Northbeam Client ID is a unique string of letters and numbers that represent your Northbeam dashboard.

To find your ID, log into your dashboard and find it in your URL.

Example (bold): dashboard.northbeam.io/87aaeb29-3b46-4ddf-b824-11e6e3b9d3a7

Your Website

This is your Website URL connected to your Northbeam Dashboard.

To find it, log into your Northbeam Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Find it in Profile, under Domain Name

Example: northbeam.io

Your Collector Subdomain

This is the hostname of the A-Record that was set up during onboarding.

To find it, log into your Northbeam dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Click on Setup DNS Entry
  3. Find the subdomain listed (ex. i, i2, i3, or i4.)

Step 2: Inserting Impression Tracking URL

In order for us to fetch impressions, we need a specific Impression Tracking URL to be placed. Every customer has a unique URL -- based on the information above.

Please insert this URL into your Impression Tracking within your MNTN Settings:

  1. Log into your MNTN account
  2. Click on the menu in the top, right corner
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Click on Creative Tracking in the left side menu
  5. Click on Default Impression Tracking
  6. Enter URL in Default Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking
  7. Click Save Changes

Step 3: Generating a MNTN API Key

Lastly, find your MNTN API Key:

  1. Log into your MNTN account
  2. Click on the menu in the top, right corner
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Click on API

Step 4: Notify our Support Team

Please reach out to our team here to share your MNTN API Key and notify us that your Impression Tracking URLs are set up.

We'll enable the MNTN integration on your dashboard. In the following data refresh, you'll see that we'll start pulling Spend, Impressions, and View-Through conversions + revenue.
